BRIDGEPORT, CT - April 27, 2001- Prime Resources Corporation, a Counselor Top 25 Supplier, was selected as one of the winners of the Connecticut Inner City 10 Entrepreneurship Award for 2001 by Connecticut's Department of Economic and Community Development (DECD). It also received honors as one of the National Inner City 100 Award recipients by Inc. Magazine and the Initiative for a Competitive Inner City.

The honor was bestowed upon Prime after a comprehensive application, interview and facility tour process, which identified the state's fastest growing inner city companies over the past 5 years. According to the DECD, these companies seized opportunities often overlooked by others and are the front-runners in the new economy. Governor John Rowland presented the state award to Prime at the February 15th meeting of the organization responsible for selecting the winners, the Governor's Council on Economic Competitiveness and Technology. The national award was presented to Prime's controller, Fred Everson at a ceremony in Boston on April 27th.

Jerry Russo, Prime's C.O.O. stated, "This distinction is a validation of the enormous effort put forth every day by everyone at Prime. In addition, we have experienced a terrific amount of growth over the last 5 years thanks to our continuous product development, award-winning service, aggressive sales/marketing efforts and ever-expanding state-of-the-art facility."

We have a tremendously diverse workforce pool from which to select the best person for any given position - and our distributors benefit from it."
