Prime Earns 2001 Customer Service Team of the Year Honors

LANGHORNE, PA - The Advertising Specialty Institute (ASI) named the customer service team at Prime Resources Corporation, Bridgeport, CT, the promotional products industry's 2001 Customer Service Team of the Year. Bob Lederer, president, Prime Resources, accepted the award at the annual Spirit Awards banquet.

Much of the 32-member team's success can be attributed to its "can do" attitude. "Part of our motto is 'never say no," explains Valencia Goodridge, customer service manager, Prime Resources. "We do whatever it takes to satisfy our clients, and this desire to please starts at the top."

Divided into five groups that service various regional and client bases, Prime Resources' customer service team is renowned for its on-time delivery, quick turnaround and fulfillment of special requests. All reps undergo a rigorous training program that includes role playing, individual coaching and exams.

Marvin Spike, ASI vice chairman, spoke about the importance of the Spirit Awards honor. "It's the entrepreneurial spirit of these smaller companies - often principals and sales counselors combined in one who have historically worked the extra hour and brainstormed the extra day - that results in new business, even despite past recessions," said Spike.

The promotional products industry (also known as advertising specialties) includes any imprinted products used by consumers for a wide range of marketing purposes, such as advertising, public relations, incentives and recognition programs.
