Prime Wins PPAI Silver Web Award

BRIDGEPORT, CT - January 12, 2001- Prime Resources Corporation, a leading supplier in the
promotional products industry, was awarded the Silver Supplier Web Award from the Promotional Products
Association International (PPAI) for its Web site.
This annual award is voted on by a panel of industry professionals.
Judging criteria included analysis of the goals of the site, amount
and quality of site features, and the success of the site for the company.
According to PPAI, other criteria included creativity and innovation, load time,
ease of navigation and utility. Primeworld.com was judged among many other industry supplier
Web sites. Jeff Lederer, Prime's V.P of Business Development comments, "When we set out last
year to re-build our current site, our plan consisted of short term and long term objectives.
It's wonderful to receive this award and receive recognition that our short term objectives have been met."
Those short term objectives included providing many tools to help distributors to conduct business.
"Step 1 was to build an online catalog" stated Evan Kropp, Prime's Internet Coordinator who overseas the
operations of the site. He continued "Next, we built powerful tools such as our Idea Search, Prime Art Relay
System, and Check Account, an order status inquiry function. We also held the industry's first supplier-hosted
online chat event this past June and we have added over 375 Standard-Non Stock items to our online database to
increase our online product offering to over 700 items!"
Also included on primeworld.com are product animations to explain product function and suggestions
for cross-selling various related products over product category boundaries. Press releases, downloadable
sell sheets, banner links for distributors, a growing list of useful Web resources, instructions for using
Prime's Web images and text were also included to add even more utility to the site.
The results? Primeworld.com is a major success. Offering customers valuable information whenever they
need it-even after working hours-24/7. Distributors are better informed and the communication to and
from them has been greatly enhanced. Lederer says that phone traffic to Prime's customer service department
has been reduced and the average on-hold time was significantly reduced as well. Prime's customers are getting
instant service whenever they need it and are using the site as a reference and selling tool. Primeworld.com
has shown increasing traffic each week in the distributor service sections especially. Lederer explained
that the site's average monthly traffic has increased more than 100% since February of 2000.
