Prime Launches Imprint Art Upload System

BRIDGEPORT, CT - August 22, 2000- Prime Resources Corporation, a leading supplier in the promotional products industry, announced today that it has launched PrimeArt Relay System. It is an online tool for distributors to upload their imprint artwork while ensuring that the artwork is in the proper format for pad printing or silk screening. "This isn't the first art upload system in the industry," explained Evan Kropp, Prime's Internet coordinator. "However, it is the first one to help the distributor to determine if the artwork is in the correct format." Instead of waiting to hear from Prime customer service that the art isn't correct, the distributor will know immediately. This saves time for both the distributor and Prime customer service.

Prime has been accepting artwork from distributors via e-mail and will continue to do so. This is certainly faster than having distributors mail it on a diskette. But many times the art is not in a format that can be used. It is a notorious problem throughout the promotional products industry. Those not familiar with digital artwork have difficulty providing their customer's artwork to suppliers correctly.

Kropp continued, "PrimeArt Relay System is an 8-step process that walks the distributor through the upload process. Each step helps to ensure that the artwork is in the correct format for imprinting. As the distributor progresses through the process, he or she responds to simple questions about the art."

These questions are quite specific-is it in Mac or PC format? Is the art saved as a TIF, EPS, or JPG file? If the system determines that the art is not in the correct format, it refers the distributor to Prime's artwork specifications page through a live link. This page helps the distributor to correct the artwork. The art can then be resubmitted to the PrimeArt Relay System for processing.
